Cat Clarke's new book recently came out and so I thought I'd write a post gushing about how much I love her and her books! I wish I had a really cool story about how I came to find Cat Clarke's books but I don't. I just remember being in a really bad head space and needing to escape in order to relax, so I went on over to WHsmith's, to the Young Adult section, reading all the blurbs to find something that sounded like a good read (I also read the first page to see how it reads). I finally found a book that sounded amazing and it was 'Entangled'.

Entangled follows a seventeen year old called Grace who wakes up in a white room, all that lies in there is a table, pen and paper and she has no idea how she got there. The only way to find out why she is there is to pour out her life on paper and is essetially forced to remember everything she wanted to forget.

It was such an amazing read and made me smile one minute and get choked up the next. I loved the elements of secrets, relationships and friendships throughout this book, you predicted one thing to happen and 'BAM' there was a plot twist so good that you never saw coming. That's what I fell in love with.

From then on I checked social media to find out more dates and about her other books. The next one is called, 'Torn'. The book follows a girl called Alice as she sets off on a school trip to the scottish wilderness. Alice and her best friend Cass are stuck in a cabin two other girl and then a girl named Tara who was the mean girl. They four girls decide to teach Tara a lesson and as it unfolds the girls lives are forever changed.

I'm just so in love with her writing and how she portrays characters and emotions and I don't think i've read a book faster than this one. It's so gripping and I loved the twists and turns which the story brought.

The third book is, 'Undone'. This follows a girl called Jem and her best friend Kai. Jem is in love with Kai but he's gay. Kai ends up getting outed online and commits suicide. The story follows Jem as she tries to find out who is responsible and take them down. This book hit me hard. It's a book filled with love, loss, betrayal and revenge and I was hooked. No questions asked. An incredible read and the story takes so many turns where you think things will actually be ok and then your sat on the edge of your seat needing to read on to find out what happens.

The fourth is, 'A Kiss in the Dark.' The book follows Alex and Kate who meet at a concert for the first time, they fall for each other. But one is hiding a huge secret and as they fall for each other more, the secret end up threatening not just there relationship but there lives.

This book is too adorable, makes you feel that first love all over again. I thought the big secret would be revealed at the end for a big finale but it was actually towards the beginning and more brilliant plot twists just kept coming. I loved it. The last one I will talk about is, 'The Lost and the Found.' The book follows a girl called Faith and her mum and dad who lost there child and sister, Laurel, thirteen years ago as she was abducted. Now she's found and is coming home. The story is of what happens next.

This was one of those books that really go an insight into what people go through in these situations, like the Madeline McCann case (whatever your opinions may be about it), you think how awful it must be but don't really know. This made you feel part of the family and feel what the family were going through. Incredible book and a definite recommendation to anyone who likes this sort of book.

I just purchased Cat Clarke's new book, 'Girlhood'. I am incredibly excited to read it and see if its as incredible page-turning as the rest. I really love how each story is about an important issue and it they cover so much, suicide and mental health, abduction, murder but also has the lighter side to it such as love and relationship however complicated they may be! I just really love everything about her writing and books and I'm so happy that I walked into the bookshop that one day and chose 'Entangled' to be the one to read.
