I'm a huge television nerd. I just love everything about following the same characters over the series and really connecting with there lives, it sort of takes you into an alternative universe. I watch so many show I physically have to track them on an app; it's called 'SideReel' if any of you were wondering! I thought I'd do a short watchlist of some of the televisions shows I have been loving at the minute.

The first one is Pretty Little Liars. Sadly this is shortly ending forever but I found this show when start of season five had premiered and I watched the first few episodes and I was hooked (which was a bad move considering the amount of University work I had at this point!) I binged watched it and I watch it over and over again trying to figure out who 'A' could be!

The storyline is set in a fictional town of Rosewood, Pennslyvania, following the lives of fours girls, Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) and Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), whose friendship crumbles after the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). One year Later, the four girls reunite as they begin receiving messages from an anonymous named 'A', who threatens to expose their deepest secrets, including ones they thought only their friend Alison knew. At first they believe its Alison herself, but after her body is found, the four girls realise that someone else is ruining their lives.

The show is incredible and its now on it's seventh season and the show has had so many twists and turns. I really love the girls and can relate to them all in some way, Aria's creative side, Hanna's sassy and funny moments, Emily's love for sports and Spencer's cleverness and the need to get to solve a problem. The girls grow so much over the seasons and really are badass, strong women who go through a hell of a lot dark, scary times but there is also some really happy moments, including there relationships. Even though they get messy at some points, there is totally a ship couple for everyone to fall in love with too!

The second show is 13 Reasons Why. This recently premiered on Netflix on the 31st March 2017 and like every Netflix series the whole series was released at once. I managed to binge watch this in two or three days which is good considering I work full time too. The show is based on the book written by Jay Asher. The storyline is based around a high school student, Hannah Baker, who commits suicide, after suffering a series of traumatic events throughout her time in high school. The story follows Hannah Bakers friend, Clay Jensen, who receives a box of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah before her death detailing the thirteen reason why she ended her life.

The show has had a lot of controversy over its portrayal of suicide and self-harm. Personally I think the show does an amazing job at showing the realness and heart-wrenching side to suicide and also other subject matter which are brought up throughout the series. This is the first show I've watched where it shows graphically what mental health issues can lead to. The raw content has trigger warning at the start of each episode which could be upsetting for the viewer. I really love how the camera stays on Hannah that little bit longer than is comfortable in the suicide scene. It is an uncomfortable thing to take about but it needs to be talked about. It brings up conversations that you should be having with one another and in turn raising awareness about these kinds of illness and subject matters. I just love the show and the premise and I cannot wait for season two, which has been confirmed!

The last show I'm going to talk about is Grey's Anatomy. I started this from the beginning in 2014/15 and it has just finished it's thirteenth season. When I love a show I tend to just binge watch it non stop (as you can tell with the re-occurring theme throughout this post).

Grey's Anatomy is a American Medical Drama so if you don't like blood or hospitals you probably won't love this! The series focuses on the lives of surgical interns, residents and attending pyhsicians, as they evolve into doctors while trying to maintain relationships and the personal lives. It mainly revolves around the title character Dr. Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo.

I really love this show and some of the heart-wrenching cases I've seen on the series, there is so many deaths, both doctors and patients. Just the overall vibe of the show is incredible and it really gives you an appreciation for doctors and surgeons saving lives everyday. I'm officially invested in the characters lives and in the series in general and I adore the cast, old and new.
